Overview

Jia Yi graduated from University of Liverpool, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Second Upper Class Honours and then obtained the Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in Malaysia in year 2018. She then commenced her pupillage at Messrs YC Pang, Chong and Gordon and she was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in year 2019.

During her pupillage, she was exposed primarily to the area of Conveyancing dealings in both Developers’ projects and Sub-sale transactions for residential, commercial, landed, non-landed properties as well as land developments. Apart from that, she was also given opportunities to involve in civil litigation matters in the field of Contract Law, Land Law and Family Law.

She currently joined Messrs Lavinia, Dell Akbar, Tee & Partners as a legal associate specialising in all sorts of conveyancing practices including but not limited to drafting and preparing Sale and Purchase Agreements, Loan Agreements, Memorandum of Transfer, Memorandum of Charge, Discharge of Charge, Tenancy Agreement, Trust, Will and others. She plays an active role in giving legal opinions and advices to individual clients, developers, real estate agents, various banks and other financial institutions. She also provides legal service to individuals in the application of Letter of Administration and Grant of Probate in Court.

Jia Yi works independently and is articulate and meticulous in providing legal services and solutions and she always ensures that the legitimate interests of the clients are protected and enforced. She recognizes that time is always of the essence in real estate transactions and mindful of the importance of knowing and understanding clients’ needs in order to meet their specific goals and expectations.
